I'd like to take a moment...
...to mention a group that's very important for me and for which I do some volunteer translating work. The
International Rescue Committee assists refugees with resettlement within the United States, and the Charlottesville office has been very active. I've met wonderful people on both sides of the aisle, and I believe the Charlottesville/Albemarle area is a better place thanks to the work of the IRC staff and the new members of our community.

The Oscars weren't the only awards given out this weekend!
This Friday I was in Richmond with my colleagues as Century 21 had its annual awards dinner. I received a Masters Diamond award for production as well as a Quality Service award. I am especially proud of the latter, as it is an award given only to the realtors who have been given the highest scores from the Quality Service Surveys clients fill out after the transaction is over. Thank you to all my clients, because I couldn't have done it without you!
